Billing and workspace seats

Open your workspace and sign in with a Microsoft account from the organisation you registered. Owners and admins can manage billing and user seats. Other users can see their own access and the company’s plan.

Your free pilot

Each Microsoft organisation gets one 14-day trial, starting when its workspace is first created. No card is required. Pilot includes up to 5 users; Team includes up to 30. Registering the same company again does not restart the trial or change the plan.

When the trial ends, the add-in stops making Halo requests. Existing Outlook browser and background sessions do not extend the trial. You can still sign in to the workspace to subscribe.

Subscribe or manage billing

Choose a plan in your workspace to open Stripe Checkout. The monthly prices are £49 for Pilot and £149 for Team, excluding VAT where applicable. Stripe shows the final amount before payment. A paid subscription starts when Checkout completes; any remaining free pilot time ends when the subscription becomes active.

The workspace updates from verified Stripe subscription information. Returning from Checkout alone does not enable paid access. Use Refresh status if the updated subscription has not appeared yet.

Use Manage billing to open Stripe’s customer portal, update payment details, view invoices, or manage cancellation. A subscription scheduled to cancel at the end of its billing period keeps access until that date. Failed, unpaid, expired, paused, or canceled subscriptions do not provide paid access. Resolve billing issues in the portal, then refresh the workspace.

When billing is in test mode, Checkout does not charge real cards. If online subscriptions are unavailable, checkout remains disabled.

Assign and remove seats

People appear in the workspace after signing in with Microsoft. A new user receives a seat automatically while the plan has capacity. An owner or admin can remove a seat and assign the available seat to someone else. Removing a seat ends that user’s InboxLink sessions and pending Halo sign-ins; signing in again does not automatically restore a removed seat.

If a plan change leaves more assigned users than the plan allows, owners and admins take priority, followed by users in their signup order. Users marked Over limit cannot use the add-in. Remove the excess assignments or increase the plan’s capacity.

Access changes apply to ticket lookups, manual email attachments, and background email attachments. Microsoft company membership alone does not grant a seat.
